Keeping with tradition, the Combined Professional Associations Group held their annual Defense Forum Breakfast January 6, welcoming the four military service leaders to brief attendees on the past year's highlights and their expectations for the upcoming year. Along with the serious nature of the discussions, much of which was centered around impending budget cuts and more clearly defined needs for request for proposals, there were some laughs and of course, CAPT Reuter's personal opportunity to make sure the audience was well aware of this year's Army-Navy game results.

Central Florida Navy League Continues Lone Sailor Memorial Efforts in Creatively Motivating Ways
The Central Florida Navy League paid a special visit to a local assisted living facility on the 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day.  On Wednesday, December 7th a group of volunteers, including men in uniform, organized a reception to honor Mr. Floyd "Pete" Petiprin at the Winter Park Towers Assisted Living Facility.  Their visit included a presentation honoring Mr. Petiprin with a donor paver in celebration of his 41 year U.S. Navy service.

The six-year-old event has massively grown and become an energized area on the I/ITSEC floor drawing thousands of observers receiving hands-on demonstrations of the very popular "People's Choice Award".
