August 18, 2009. Orlando, Fla. Team Orlando announced today, during the kick-off of ImplementationFest 2009, that DAU will open office space at the beginning of October becoming "DAU South".
The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) is an institution that touches nearly every member of the DoD Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L) workforce throughout all professional career stages. They provide a full range of basic, intermediate, and advanced certification training, assignment-specific training, performance support, job-relevant applied research, and continuous learning opportunities.
DAU has chosen the JADL CoLab site location for their Tech Lab and will also being using UCF's classroom facilities. As a result of this move, DAU will not only be able to join Team Orlando, but also closely partner with JADL-CoLab, UCF and the rest of our community. "I want to thank you for all your efforts in helping DAU join Team Orlando and for finding us a mutually beneficial home", stated Frank Anderson. "We are very excited about being a teammate and part of the community."
Team Orlando is Central Florida's academic and military partnership that began over twenty-five years ago with one goal: to improve human performance through simulation. Presently, there are over 2,500 members representing government, academia and industry. www.teamorlando.org
