State of Florida and local government agencies support Team Orlando’s national defense training simulation support mission and modeling and simulation national critical technologies by facilitating and fostering a collaborative environment that produces an attractive living, working, and business environment for defense, industry and academia.

Enterprise Florida

Enterprise Florida Inc. (EFI), a State public-private partnership, is Florida’s primary organization devoted to statewide economic development. EFI attracts and helps create business in innovative, high-growth industries, many in support of Team Orlando’s mission. EFI focuses on a wide range of industry sectors, including life sciences, information technology, aviation/aerospace, homeland security/defense, financial/professional services and manufacturing.

Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission

The Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission, a not-for-profit, private/public partnership, serves the surrounding counties and the City of Orlando. The Metro Orlando area has a $13.4 billion technology industry that employs close to 53,000 people, many of which support Team Orlando directly or through various suppliers, vendors and systems integrators. Top sectors include film and digital media; modeling, simulation and training; optics and photonics; aviation/aerospace; homeland security/defense; financial services technology (fi-tech); information technology; clean tech; and life science/biotechnology.

Florida High Tech Corridor Council

The Florida High Tech Corridor Council helps to attract, retain and grow the high tech industry and workforce needed to support Team Orlando’s mission. The Florida High Tech Corridor Council is chaired by the Presidents of the University of Central Florida, the University of South Florida, and the University of Florida and is comprised of representatives of high tech organizations appointed by the presidents.

Orange County Research and Development Authority

The Orange County Research and Development Authority is the governing body of the Central Florida Research Park, established, where the majority of Team Orlando military agencies and many of our industry and academia partners reside. The research park, the largest research park in the state and the seventh largest in the nation, adjoins the main University of Central Florida campus in Orlando, Florida.
