Virtual, Augmented Reality Are Moving Warfighting Forward
AFAMS commander, Col. Robert Epstein, says virtual and augmented reality technology is creating the realism, and incorporating the threats, necessary to fight future fights so our warfighters are prepared. NAWCTSD Central Florida Tech Bridge Established
The Central Florida Tech Bridge is part of the new NavalX program that was established last year to connect Department of the Navy external and internal partners to increase awareness and provide access to best practices and technologies. It is located near the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, taking advantage of long-stand collaborative relationships with major universities, all Military services, and various government agencies.
NAWCTSD Honors UCF Executive in Honorary Plane Naming
Captain Tim Hill, NAWCTSD commanding officer, conducted a plane naming ceremony in November to honor Dr. Dan Holsenbeck, Senior Vice President for University Relations and senior counsel to the University of Central Florida (UCF) president. Along with interim UCF President, Dr. Thad Seymour, Hill lauded Dr. Holsenbeck for his service and personal dedication in growing the Modeling, Simulation and Training (MS&T) community.
Team Orlando Hosts 2020 M&S Student Day
Team Orlando, in conjunction with the National Center for Simulation (NCS), will hold a Student Day expo on February 19, 2020, from 9 am until 2 pm in the Central Florida Research Park, Partnership III Building, Conference Rooms 321A & B. There is no cost to attend or for students to demonstrate at this special event.
