TEAM Orlando Capabilities

Test and Evaluation Support
Team Orlando has a significant role in the test and evaluation of the actual weapon system platforms our training systems are built to support: specifically, research, development, acquisition, and sustainment mission for the Instrumentation, Targets and Threat Systems. This mission area is highly complementary to Team Orlando's larger mission area in simulation for training and education. Test and Evaluation Support provides the live simulations of the "Real World" systems for testing the ability of a weapon system to destroy, defeat, or avoid threats.
Three main areas of support include range instrumentation systems, target systems, and threat systems:
- Instrumentation Systems - Manage development, acquisition, and fielding of major test and range instrumentation systems used for developmental and operational Test and Evaluation of tactical systems.
- Target Systems - Manage development, prototype fabrication, and validation of air and ground target surrogates to meet weapon systems test and evaluation (T&E) requirements, including centralized management and control of all unclassified foreign assets used in T&E, technically advanced target and target system development, best value target system procurement and life-cycle target operations and sustainment support.
- Threat Systems – Management of the development, acquisition and fielding of classified foreign threat systems for test and evaluation of weapon system platforms.
